A Palestinian writer and cultural researcher whose practice centres on community and cultural work, liberatory learning, and the creation of spaces where children and young people can read, learn, and participate in producing knowledge. For thirteen years, he served as director of the Gaza office of the Tamer Institute for Community Education. He later worked as Gaza office director for the humanitarian organisation ACTED and contributed to coordinating the humanitarian response across the Gaza Strip. He is currently a researcher and lecturer at the University of Tours in France, continuing his work on community education and cultural policy, rethinking the role of educational and cultural institutions after genocide, and approaching education as a practice of liberation, survival, and the rebuilding of the social fabric.
